About the University
Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) is recognized by UGC
under section 2(7) and is located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The
NAAC has credited PDEU with an ’A’ grade. PDEU is a world-
class institution, modeled on the pattern of IITs and IIMs which
creates a vibrant brigade of knowledgeable leaders in the energy, en-
gineering, and technology sectors. Since its establishment in 2007,
the university has enlarged its scope by offering courses in diverse
fields in a very short span of time.

About the School of Technology
The School of Technology (SOT) emphasizes on sound theoretical
and practical knowledge of the chosen engineering discipline while
getting a broad overview of other disciplines. The pedagogy in-
volves industrial orientation, industry internships, civic and social
internships, international exposures, workshops, and presentations,
all geared to give the right learning ecosystem for industry-ready
talent. SOT offers 4-year B. Tech, 2-year M.Tech. & M.Sc., and
Doctoral programs in various branches of science and engineering.
About the Department
The Department of Mathematics is formed in the year 2011. Since
then, the department is serving all four schools of the university, and
its members are actively involved in teaching and research activities.
Some of the major thrust areas in which the departmental members
are actively involved comprise of mathematical modeling, optimiza-
tion, solid mechanics, computational biology, orthogonal functional
analysis, computational seismology, software reliability, theory of
relativity, etc. The department runs a 4-year B.Sc. (Hons.), 2-year
M.Sc., and Ph.D. programs.
Scope of the Webinar
The prime objective of this webinar is to familiarize students to a
variety of career options offered in mathematics. It shall serve as
a forum for students and professionals from both academia and in-
dustry to exchange up-to-date knowledge. The experience of invited
speakers will encourage the participants to explore the career pro-
files and plan ahead their pathway accordingly.
Who Can Apply
All 10+2, graduate & post-graduate students and research scholars.
Registration Fee and Certification
There will be no registration fees. Certificates will be provided to
all the participants.
